Balikpapan is a major seaport city located on the east coast of East Kalimantan, Indonesia, facing the Makassar Strait. Widely recognized as the financial center of Kalimantan, the city is a critical economic powerhouse driven by its booming oil, gas, and mining industries. It serves as the primary strategic gateway to Indonesia’s new capital city, Nusantara.
Balikpapan Sport and Convention Center (BSCC) or can be locally referred to as Dome Balikpapan is a multipurpose indoor arena. The building was built by the Government of Balikpapan for 2008 Pekan Olahraga Nasional.
